On Wednesday, August 23rd, Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation (MMMCF) will hold a special Lahaina Town Meeting entitled "Healthcare Strategies and Changes on Maui" at the Lahaina Civic Center. Refreshments will be served from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, meeting will follow from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The public is invited to attend, admission is FREE. According to MMMCF president Dr. Barry Shitamoto, the purpose of this special presentation will be to share information on some of the newest advances in healthcare, as well as to provide an update on programs and initiatives that reaffirm Maui Memorial's commitment to support improved healthcare access and services for the people of Maui County. Featured topics will include: "Breast Cancer Initiatives" "Advances in Stroke Intervention, A Ten Year Experience on Maui" "Cardiac Initiatives" "Maui Country Healthcare Strategic Planning" Refreshments will be served compliments of Becky Lennon and Best Western Pioneer Inn.
