Our Mission
Because life is precious…
The Foundation will support the health and wellness of
the community of Maui and our visitors by ensuring Maui Memorial Medical Center
has the resources needed to provide the highest level of medical care.
The Maui
Memorial Medical Center Foundation is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization. It exists to raise funds in order to support MMMC in its mission,
development,
and provision of medical care. Maui Memorial is the only full-service, acute care hospital on Maui with sister hospitals located in Kula and the island of Lanai.
Each year, the Foundation provides funds
for patient programs, equipment, medical education, capital building and
special projects. Thanks to generous donors like you, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars to bring new services, improve the quality of healthcare for our residents and visitors, and state-of-the-art technology to Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Maui Knitting Club, Big on Talent and Heart When Maui resident Alma EnPaz decided to start a knitting club to create caps for infants at Maui Memorial Medical Center (MMMC), she had no idea how this generous gift would come circle. EnPaz wanted to donate caps to the local hospital, something she had done while living on the mainland. After receiving overwhelming support from people like the late Liz Janes of The Maui News, whose mother also knitted caps for her local hospital; and other people whom she knew and met, word about this philanthropic group quickly spread. Today, the club boasts over 20 women from all over the island who knit, crochet and loom caps on their own schedules for MMMC’s Obstetrics Department. Over 1,000 caps have been donated to Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation for the hospital to date.
