Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation Launches 2nd Edition "Maui's Celebrity & Physicians Cookbook"

Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation recently announced the launch of their second edition "Maui's Celebrity & Physicians Cookbook." This beautiful hard-bound, 213-page cookbook offers almost 200 delicious recipes and personal stories of citizens who have recently shaped the culture, lifestyle and healthcare on Maui.

Cost is $25 per book or $250 for 12 books. Proceeds benefit the Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation (MMMCF), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises funds for Maui Memorial Medical Center. Cookbooks are available at the MMMCF office located at 285 Mahalani Street #25 in Wailuku, as well as First Hawaiian Mortgage in Lahaina, Best Western Pioneer Inn in Lahaina, Nancy's Hair Design in Wailuku, Home Maid Bakery in Wailuku, Wendy's Hair Design in Wailuku, Dunes at Maui Lani Pro Shop in Kahului, Maui Country Employees Federal Credit Union in Kahului, West Maui Community Federal Credit Union in Lahaina, Maui Federal Credit Union in Kahului, Wailuku Federal Credit Union in Wailuku, Kulia Ohana Federal Credit Union in Wailkuku and Valley Isle Federal Credit Union in Kahului. "The Foundation extends a big mahalo to the many 'chefs' who have shared their secret recipes with us for this beautiful cookbook to support its beneficiaries, the patients and community of Maui," said Lani Correa, MMMCF executive director. "There are many community 'heroes' over the years who have supported the Foundation and contributed to the healthcare fabric of our island, and we're pleased to recognize some of these generous contributors."

Over the past five years, the Foundation has worked tirelessly in providing over one million dollars of support for Maui Memorial Medical Center, the largest acute care hospital of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) and the only full-service, acute care hospital on Maui. The Foundation is now poised and excited to support the numerous improvements in Maui's healthcare including iniatives to bring a comprehensive cardiovascular program, inclusive of heart surgery, angioplasty and state of the art endovascular techniques.

The Foundation accepts memorial gifts, honorary gifts, restricted or unrestricted gifts, corporate matching gifts, gifts of
appreciated assets, wills and bequests. These gifts fund the emergency care, acute services, visitor medical care and
the 24-hr medical care support that the Maui Memorial Medical Center provides.
